Working with 30 students from Evans High school in the Pine Hills area of Orlando, The Song Garden was created as a public space for urban agriculture, performance and play. The students built bat houses, made pickles, sang Hamilton and did movement workshops in the garden. The public opening for Ixchel was a poetry reading featuring poetry from both students and local poets, as well as local musical performers.
