Indigo Waves
2018, Maitland, Florida

Developed as part of a residency at Art & History Museums, Maitland, Indigo Waves was a community weaving project. Gathering donated, used and recycled denim, the project featured a large public loom and invited various communities to weave tapestries together both at the Indigo Waves site, as well as at events such as Earth Day and Kids Fringe Fest. The project site also featured a crop of indigo plants, which was a cash crop for early settlers to the region.
