In the third year of the Sauk County ARK, a mobile cob oven was built to augment the project. Created from clay near the ARK site and embedded with Kernza straw, the oven was created to bake goods made from the Kernza flour milled from the project. The land baked food grown from the land it was made of. Reaching over 1,000 degrees, Kernza pizza dough, crackers, shortbread and Kernza sourdough bread were all devoured from this oven.
